hortonhearsawho?
A parallel I never saw... Horton and Christ? How great was it today when Pastor Dino sat down and read "Horton Hears a Who?" in the middle of his message. He then went on to talk about how Horton and Christ were alike. How Christ cares for everyone "no matter how small" and it is our duty to do the same. Pretty simple but pretty profound at the same time. This message is part of a series called Closer and is leading up to Servolution... seven days of serving. There are close to 200 churches around the world that are partnering together to do projects serving their individual communities April 3-9th. It is pretty amazing. You can check it out at servolution.org. If you or your church want to be a part register... It is going to be off the chart.

We went to AZ a couple of weeks ago, I actually already blogged about it but the computer died and lost the hour worth of blogging I had done right before I was able to post it. Today I am home with a sick baby and will use this chance to get the blog caught up! So here goes the Marathon Blog...

(Jon & Risha) (James & Britt)

The Fun started Friday evening after we took most of the day to recover the 4Am arrival to James' Parents house due to the horribly long plane trip. The reunion started at Native New Yorker where everyone just hung out together for the night and caught up. Jon is James best friend and is pictured with his amazing wife Risha. We really had so much fun spending time with them. They are both amazing.

(Carter & Kylee)
While we were out Kylee stayed at Memaw and Pepaws house and played with her cousins.

Saturday we had the family picnic and all hung out at the park together. It was a beautiful day.

Later that night James and I wend to the banquet for the Reunion. I am terrible at actually taking pictures in the midst of an event so We don't have any pictures other than the ones James Dad took before we left...

Sunday the guys golfed early and then the rest of the family and friends came over for the evening.

All in all we had a great trip! I think Pepaw and Memaw lost a little part of their heart when we left and took Kylee with us. She had them wrapped around her little finger, especially Pepaw. Can't wait to go back in December.

kyleegetsearrings

She knew something was going on...

They attempted it a couple of times then we all had to hold her down, but she looked beautiful when it was all over.

Daddy and a prize (the gaudiest heart jewel in the world!) makes everything all better.

For all of you in the great state of Arizona we will be heading your way in a couple of weeks. We will be there Aug 7-11th for James 10 yr high school reunion! Can you believe it, we have been out of high school for 10 years! We are so excited to be going home for a few days. This is the last flight Kylee will take for FREE!!!!!!! We will be returning to AZ in December but will have to pay for a seat for Kylee since she will be two! Another "can you believe it moment". Our little baby girl is almost 2! Anyway, enough rambling.

Daddy Sliding... Kylee Sliding... Tell me she doesn't look like him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This weekend James had drill and some make-up days at Keesler so Kylee and I went over there and spent some weekend with Him until he was finished. We had a great time... While we were there we went to picnic fro James's shop at the marina. I got a chance to meet all the people James works with when he has drill. They were all so nice, and it is great to be able to put faces to all the names. Kylee had a great time on the playground with her Daddy. I am truly blessed with the greatest husband and father to my daughter a girl could ever ask for. I want to highlight the pics of James and Kylee going down the slide. If you look closely they are making the same exact face. She is her Daddy's little girl no doubt about it! Kylee and I also spent a good bit of the time at the pool working on our tans. She is quite the little fish. But what would a day at the pool be with out a cookie break. She is Daddy's little girl with Mommy's sweet tooth!
